He is Risen

Matthew 28:5–6 says this

“Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here. He has risen, just as He said.”

They came to a grave

They came carrying spices

They came expecting silence

But instead, they heard a message that split history in two

“Do not be afraid.”

God always says that before He reveals something that changes everything

Because resurrection will confront your fear head-on

“You are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.”

You came looking for a dead Savior

A finished story

A sealed ending

But heaven says you are looking in the wrong place

“He is not here.”

The grave is empty

Death lost

The stone was moved, not so Jesus could get out, but so you could see in

“He has risen just as He said.”

He kept His word

Everything He promised did not die on that cross

It was fulfilled and then proven in power

Some of you are still living like Friday

Still carrying guilt

Still trapped in shame

Still convinced the story is over

But Sunday says otherwise

You are standing at a tomb that no longer holds anything

Why are you searching for life in dead places?

Why are you rehearsing sins He already buried

Why are you afraid of a future He already secured

The resurrection is not just an event

It is an invitation

Come out of the grave you have been living in

Come out of fear

Come out of regret

Come out of spiritual death

Because Jesus did not just rise for Himself

He rose so you could rise too

He is not here

He is alive

And if He is alive

Then your story is not over

Prayer

Jesus

You are alive

We stop standing at empty graves

We stop clinging to what

You already defeated

Pull us out of fear

Pull us out of shame

Pull us into life

Give us bold, living faith

Not just to believe the resurrection

But to walk in it

We receive Your life today

In Your name

Amen
