He Goes Before You

Deuteronomy 31:3
There are moments when the road ahead feels bigger than you.
Unknown.
Heavy.
Maybe even intimidating.
That is exactly where this verse meets you.
God does not stand behind you shouting directions. He does not wait at the finish line to see if you make it. He goes before you.
Before you step into that conversation
Before you face that loss
Before you walk into the unknown
He is already there
That changes everything.
Moses spoke these words to people standing on the edge of something new.
New land. New battles. New responsibility. Instead of giving them a plan, he gave them a truth.
God Himself goes with you.
Not just presence but leadership
Not just comfort but direction, not just words but action
Then comes the promise that holds it all together.
He will never leave you or forsake you.
Not when you feel strong, Not when you feel weak, Not when you question, Not when you fall
He does not walk away.
Courage is not about having everything figured out. It is about trusting the One who has already gone ahead of you.
Whatever you are facing today, you are not stepping into it alone. God is already there, already moving, already making a way.
So take the step. Walk forward.
Prayer
God, what is in front of me feels bigger than what is inside me.
But you said you would go before me.
Help me trust that You are already where I am going.
Give me the courage to take the next step.
Remind me that I am not abandoned, not forgotten, not alone.
Lead me. Steady me. Strengthen me.
Amen
